Welcome to the ExScore Winter Hackathon of 2025!
This Hackathon is a Product Development Hackathon - where the winners of this competition will be endorsed to further development of their submission to a product which will be released. Endorsements can go up to 400 dollars depending on the quality of the product. The product may be considered and incorporated in our nonprofit as one of our projects in order to increase connections and develop the product's outreach.
On top of this, thanks to our sponsors at the Applied Computing Foundation, the winning team will be able to receive a wild card entry to their Future Impact Challenge Competition, with a greater change at winning their competition, being able to receive cash prizes - nearly $1000 - and exceptional opportunities from their sponsors. (This part applies to HS teams only.)

NOTE: This hackathon was originally assigned to the dates of February 1st-7th, however, possibilities for sponsorships have arised. Therefore, in order to give our participents the best hackathon experience, we have postponed out hackathon to February 15th-23th.
Requirements
What to Build
A website or an application must be created, and the theme for this hackathon is 'EduTech', as revealed in our opening ceremony. For this theme, you have to rethink education through personalized, gamified, or AI-driven platforms. Examples include creating virtual classrooms coding platforms, or study planners. This is just a main guideline or premise for your project submission, and we are looking for creativity and uniqueness through your projects.
Prizes
1st Place: $100 total + Product Endorsement + Wild Card Placement on ACF's Future Impact Challenge

Judging Criteria

Creativity
Judges will assess how unique, original, and innovative the idea is compared to existing solutions. Projects that introduce fresh perspectives, unexpected features, or novel applications of technology will score higher. -
Design/UI
The project’s visual appeal, layout, and user experience will be evaluated based on clarity, aesthetics, and ease of use. A well-structured, intuitive interface that enhances usability and engagement will be rated favorably. -
Community Impact
The project’s potential to positively affect individuals, groups, or society as a whole will be considered. We are looking for solutions that address real-world problems and create meaningful change in communities. -
Presentation
The clarity, effectiveness, and professionalism of the project's explanation in the video presentation will be judged. A well-structured, engaging pitch that effectively communicates the problem, solution, and impact will stand out. -
Scalability
Judges will analyze how adaptable and expandable the project is for future growth. We are looking for solutions with a strong foundation, potential for new features, or the ability to serve a larger audience. -
Accessibility
The project will be evaluated on how inclusive and usable it is for people of different abilities, locations, and technical backgrounds. We are looking for solutions that prioritize ease of access, consider diverse user needs, and target large audience.
